Maidenii Dry was created with the martini in mind. However the versatility of this style means that it is just as delicious drunk straight, with a dash of tonic or with a larger measure of gin. In the true spirit of exploration, Shaun & Gilles undertook many experiments (and a lot of taste testing) to create what we believe is the very first dry vermouth perfected for martinis.

A herbacious, dry vermouth that uses Viognier as the base wine. Along with strawberry gum, sea parsley, river mint and wattleseed, Maidenii Dry Vermouth boasts kaffir lime leaf, nigella and Japanese gentian. More savoury than sweet with a bone dry finish, Maidenii's dry vermouth is perfect for a dry martini.

Enjoy neat or on the rocks. Use whenever a dry vermouth is called for.

About Maidenii

Maidenii is a collaboration between French wine maker Gilles Lapalus the winemaker at Sutton Grange, and Shaun Byrne, master mixologist/alchemist who on most nights can be found tinkering in Melbourne's Gin Palace.

Together they developed the Maidenii range of Vermouths using quality wines as a base and a wide range of native and imported herbs, fruits & spices and of course, wormwood.

Interesting flavours, bush essences

By: on 25 February 2015
This is a really nice, light vermouth. It has various bush flavours in it, none of which overpower the others. I prefer dry wines, and I'm glad I didn't go for anything sweeter than the dry vermouth, as I find this quite sweet itself. I haven't made a martini with it yet, but it was really nice with some soda, aromatic bitters and the Fee Brothers West Indies Style Falernum.
