Cocchi Storico Vermouth di Torino is produced according to the original recipe created by Giulio Cocchi in 1891 and revived 120 years later in 2011. Cocchi spurred development of the ’Vermouth di Torino’ geographical indication and is one of the few producers to make a vermouth that meets the requirements. Around the world Cocchi Storico Vermouth di Torino is regarded as an exemplary rosso vermouth and is the first choice of many enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Beginning with a base wine of Piedmontese Moscato, the historical recipe includes bitter orange peel, cocoa, ginger, rhubarb, grand wormwood, cinchona bark, sandalwood, musk, myrrh, nutmeg, and caramelised sugar which brings both sweetness and colour. These varied botanicals combine to create a complex and layered aromatised wine with a bittersweet finish.

Notes of cocoa, rhubarb, dandelion, caramel, and orange peel deliver a rich and refined character.

Enjoy in a Manhattan, Martinez, Negroni, or simply over ice. Use whenever a red, rosso, sweet, or Italian vermouth is called for.

About Cocchi:

Founded by Giulio Cocchi in the Asti region of Piedmont, Italy, Cocchi has continuously produced wine since 1891. First working as a pastry chef in Florence, Giulio Cocchi moved to Asti and began making aromatised wine in the Piedmontese style. His wines proved to be very popular, prompting the opening of Cocchi tasting bars in Turin and as far away as Caracas, Venezuela. Today Cocchi remains a paragon of aromatised wine production.
